Dance

Dance in Gaelscoil na Douglase is another means of expressing the child’s opinions and feelings.

In Gaelscoil na Dúglaise children come to understand that dance is a medium for the expression of ideas, thoughts and feelings.

The children have a great opportunity to learn Gaelic dance at Gaelscoil na Dúglaise. We are very lucky to have Miah Walsh from the Kiely Walsh School of Dancing and the Cork Irish Dance Company as our teacher.

Children from Class 1 to Class 3 always enjoy the classes. The event is the school feis and céilí is organized for the children for the Irish language week every year.

Miah Walsh from the Kiely Walsh School of Dancing and from Cork Irish Dance Company teaches Irish dancing to children from 1st to Third class.
These classes are enjoyed by all and a big occasion is the school feis which takes place every year in the school in conjunction with Seachtain na Gaeilge.
